AAA Tom Pink Relays provide stiff competition at Lee Valley

The AAA Tom Pink Relays have been bringing joy to thousands of children across the country each year since 2007. The format, which introduces athletics competition to the younger age groups, has been funded from a legacy left to the AAA by the Pink Family in memory of their son Tom, a keen athlete who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 18.

Barry Willis OBE

The Amateur Athletics Association is sad to hear of the death of Barry Willis at the age of 94. Barry was Honorary Secretary of the AAA from 1965 to 1982 and in 1977 received the AAA's Award of Honour.

Eveque World Marathon Challenge 2017/2018 - Final Week 11th to 15th June 2018

The Eveque World Marathon Challenge 2017/18 has been running as a virtual competition since October and so far 5 teams have broken the World Marathon Record. There is still time to test your team's mettle to see if you too can beat Dennis Kimetto's world record. Teams of between 26 and 36 members each run 200m sections in a continuous relay until the full marathon distance has been covered.

Bill Lucas (1917-2018)

The Amateur Athletics Association is sad to hear of the death of former Vice President Bill Lucas who passed away at the great age of 101 after a lifetime of service to athletics.

AAA Tom Pink Relays produce quartet of new records

The Tom Pink Relays were held in conjunction with the 2018 England Athletics indoor combined events championships at the EIS on Saturday. This is the 11th year that the relays have been held at the EIS. More than 250 children in the under 11 and under 13 age groups made the journey and took part in what was an exciting and fun competition.

AAA applications for 2018 grants now open

The Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) has a fund which is able to support English Athletes under the age of 23 who are in full time education, active in athletics and not receiving other funding. Applications are welcomed, and note the deadline is 10th February 2018.

Fantastic opportunity to be involved in the AAA Tom Pink Relays!

On Sunday 22nd October the AAA Tom Pink Relays are taking place at Lee Valley Athletics Centre and there is a fantastic opportunity to be able to volunteer at the event. This is a really great opportunity for anyone looking to find out more about officiating or gain their experiences for their officials' licence.
