National Coach Mentors for Pole Vault, Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Heavy Throws will be delivering a Local Coach Development Workshop at Bath University on 8th December. It's a great opportunity for coaches to learn new skills and improve knowledge of event specifics.
It was Plaid time for St Andrew's school pupils who marked the milestone with a Glasgow 2014 Tartan, aptly on St Andrew's Day (30th November). The day denoted 600 days until the Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Last weekend saw Tavistock Community College host a pod coaching session in conjunction with Armada Network for Jumps, Speed and Endurance. National Coach Development Programme Coaches Rob Linskill (jumps) Viv Matthews (endurance) and Alan Denyer (speed) delivered a group coaching session to over 30 local coaches.

LPS were presented with their England Athletics Club Accreditation certificate by CCSO Claire Buckle at a recent training evening.
The Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) has a fund which is able to support English Athletes under the age of 23 who are in full time education and active in athletics. Applications are now welcomed.

On 24th November, teams from Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland took part in the Tyne Wear U11 Sportshall Athletics County Championships - a Fun in Athletics programme organised by the Gateshead Athletics Network.
Last weekend saw England Athletics host a residential training weekend for LCDP Tier 1 coaches. The event was also attended by endurance ACM mentees and NCDP endurance mentees.
England Athletics are pleased to announce that they will again be sending a number of small development groups of athletes to compete in Europe ahead of the European Trials. The three European indoor events are as in previous years, those held in, Bratislava, Vienna and Linz.
