West Midlands volunteer award winners

Walsall in the West Midlands was the venue to celebrate our amazing volunteers in that region. Katharine Merry hosted the evening and Acting Regional Chair Dave Lodwick presented the awards to the winners and runners up in ten categories. Winners are then put forward to our National Volunteer Awards.

North East volunteer award winners

Our England Athletics regional Volunteer Awards presentation evenings are now well underway and Washington was the venue for the North East awards on 19 September. Nine North East Region winners received their awards and eight worthy runners up were presented with certificates and a bottle of bubbly.

Rennes 10k team announcement

England Athletics are pleased to announce a 16 strong team of athletes will represent their country at the Rennes 10k International, taking place in Brittany, France next month. The England team will compete on the roads over the 10k distance on a 1250m, 8 lap course against national teams from across Europe, providing developing athletes with an excellent opportunity to experience competing abroad.

Composite Clubs Rule update

UK Athletics received board approval to change rule 21 S4 (8) regarding Composite Clubs, which took immediate effect (Sept 2018). This rule change will update the Composite Club process to as outlined.

During the week of 6th-12th October 2018 - in support of World Mental Health Day - England Athletics, are encouraging people to #RunAndTalk to improve their mental wellbeing through running and to break down the stigma associated with mental health by getting people talking about it. Will you join us by registering an organised run?

Apply to the Aviva Community Fund to help your club

The Aviva Community Fund offers Athletics and Running Clubs the chance to get funding for causes important to your community. The Fund will finance over 500 projects across four different fund levels and three categories, giving money to communities across the UK.
