A new research report released this month, 'Encouraging disabled people to volunteer in sport', explores the barriers to volunteering and the drivers that could improve its appeal. The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) alongside the eight National Disability Sports Organisations* and Sport England commissioned the project to understand more on volunteering in sport, as well as to improve the quality and number of opportunities for disabled people.

Commonwealth Games Federation selects Birmingham as Host City Partner of the 2022 Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) has announced that it has selected Birmingham, England as the host city partner of the XXII Commonwealth Games in 2022. Birmingham 2022 marks 20 years since Manchester 2002, the last time the Games were held in England.
England Athletics are pleased to announce new introductory workshops to help off-track clubs with event organisation. Aimed at new or existing event organisers looking at staging road or multi-terrain races, this introductory workshop aims to provide clubs with both inspiration and information around setting up a new event or revitalizing an existing one.
England Athletics' Club Run programme is a free initiative specifically aimed at supporting road running clubs. Participating clubs receive a free series of practical coaching sessions led by coaches linked to the England Athletics coach development programmes with experience in off track running. 2018 appllciations are now open.
