England Athletics Senior and Under 20 Indoor Combined Events

The timetable for the England Athletics Senior and Under 20 Indoor Combined Events Championships, which also include theWelsh, Northern and Midlands Senior and U20 Combined Events indoor Champs and Walks is now available. The championships take place in Sheffield on 7th - 8th January 2017.

New Year's Honours for athletes and those who support them

There were new Year's Honours for many of our successful athletes and for servants of the sport who support them. Those honoured include Sir Roger Bannister, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Mo Farah. Our Paralympic sprinters who have been recognised receive MBEs. Volunteers Burkhard Gravis and Angela Copson both receive the BEM.

NOTAN to host AGM on 11th January 2016

The North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN), are hosting its Annual General Meeting at the Village Hotel, Newcastle, on Wednesday 11th January 2016. The event will mark the 6th anniversary of the Network, and include the election of its Executive Board, and a blue print of its 5 year plan, Developing a Community Asset.

Elections for the England Athletics Regional Councils 2017

Elections for the England Athletics Regional Councils will take place in February and March of 2017. If you know of someone who is passionate about our sport and who has the drive and commitment to make a difference, then please nominate them for a place on your Regional Council.

Basildon Athletics Club invest in pole vault

Basildon Athletics Club has just invested £10,000 in a graded range of new vaulting poles, in order to facilitate the development of its members. The next stage of the project is to invest in some coaching expertise to upskill resident voluntary club coaches, as well as providing some direct coaching to club members. The club are seeking a paid Pole Vault coach.
