Top competition on the way at BIGish Jumps and Throws Fest

There will be strong competition across a range of events at Bedford International Athletics Stadium this Bank Holiday Monday as the BIGish Jumps and Throws Fest returns. High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot, Discus and Hammer will be showcased throughout the day and the event looks set for some excellent competitions.

Pick of the competitions looks to be the men's High Jump with entries including Tom Gale (Team Bath, Denis Doyle), Mike Edwards (Birchfield, Cliff Rovelto), Ryan Webb (Birchfield, Fuzz Caan), Thomas Hewes (Chelmsford, John Herbert), William Grimsey (Woodford Green & Essex Ladies, Carol Jackson) and Akin Coward (Shaftesbury Barnet, Carol Jackson), as well as Under 17 jumper Dominic Ogbechie (HIghgate, Marius Guei) who made a big impact this past winter with his 2.22 at the England Athletics Indoor Championships.

15:00 Triple Jump (13m Board)

15.15 High Jump Pool A (Bed 1)

15:15 Discus Women (Inside Circle)
