Series of workshops supporting steeplechasers

The first of three workshops set up to support steeplechasers was enjoyed by 41 athletes and coaches at Birmingham University’s new track.

The session started with a very informative workshop led by well-respected physio Sarah Connors who talked about key areas for steeplechasers to work on in terms of mobility and core strength using stretches and the foam roller.

Luke Gunn then led an excellent session on hurdle technique and water jumps - assisted by Helen Clitheroe and Dougie Musson.

The session was fantastic and well enjoyed by the group which was ranging from novice to advanced and all age groups were covered.
