Race walking teams selected to compete Switzerland and Slovakia
England Athletics are pleased to announce race walking teams selected to compete in the Lugano Trophy which takes place in Switzerland on 19th March, and the EAA Permit Meeting which takes place in Dudince, Slovakia on 25th March.
England Athletics' Endurance Event Coordinator Race Walking Andi Drake said, "Lugano sees several athletes stepping up as they move through the age groups - no other event group challenges athletes to shift up their competition workloads to the same extent, creating a unique environment for athletes and coaches. The 20km performances of last season’s World junior 10000m athletes are an obvious focus - it will be fascinating to see how they go! All racers in Switzerland or Slovakia will want to challenge for GB&NI Team places from the European Race Walking Cup in May through to the World Athletics Championships in August, with age group opportunities in between."
