Jade Lally produces English record breaking series

Jade Lally rewrote the English record for discus and moved to number three on the all-time British list with a series of throws that included no less than four marks that exceeded the previous record.

Competing in New Zealand the 2014 Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist finished as runner-up in the at the Auckland Track Challenge to Australia’s 2009 world gold medallist and 2014 Commonwealth champion Dani Samuels who threw 66.41.

After opening with a 59.82 Jade (Club: Shaftesbury Barnet H, Coach: Andy Neal) then threw out to 64.22 with her second throw before following up with a 63.99, 64.01 and 63.06.
