Flying coach delivers interactive practical session

14 coaches recently attended a Flying Coach Visit delivered by Mike Leonard at Northgate Athletics Stadium. The session was organised by the Suffolk Essex Athletics Network (SEAN) and was attended by coaches from Ipswich Harriers and Orwell Panthers.

Mike Leonard, England Athletics National Coach Mentor for Sprints, delivered an interactive practical session that covered the key phases of the 100m – start, acceleration, transition and maximum velocity sprinting that was well received by the coaches present.

SEAN Coach Development Coordinator, Zeta Wright commented, "It was great to see so many coaches from across the Network take advantage of this session. I hope they found it beneficial and are able to use some of the ideas to help their coaching. By bringing top coaches, like Mike, to visit the club we aim to provide quality development opportunities that are convenient and easy to access for the coaches."
