England teams for the road internationals taking place in the new year

Following a busy autumn of England Championships on the road we are pleased to announce the England teams for the road internationals taking place in the new year.

The England International opportunities on the road aim to reward and incentivise performances achieved at England Championship events, provide development opportunities for athletes seeking to gain competition experience at international level and provide a platform for both development and preparation for athletes with the potential to compete at major championships.

Selections for the following teams were all linked to performances achieved at England Championship events. Congratulations to all of the selected athletes and their coaches.

Granollers Half Marathon (Spain)

The first international competition on the calendar in the new year is the Granollers Half Marathon in Catalonia, Spain which takes place on Sunday 4th February. The race has a long history of attracting quality fields with the course records held by Samuel Wanjiru (Kenya) in 59:26 and Geta Wami (Ethiopia) in 70:24.
