England Athletics Board Election Results
England Athletics is pleased to announce the results of its 2017 Board Elections. The candidate who clubs and member organisations elected to the available position on the England Athletics Board is Tim Soutar (Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC).
The ballot was undertaken as part of the Annual General Meeting of England Athletics held on Saturday 14 October.
The results were as follows:
- Tim Soutar: 116 votes
Toks Adeniji: 51 votes
England Athletics Chair Myra Nimmo said, "We would like to thank all of those clubs and member organisations who engaged in the nomination and ballot process. In particular, we want to thank Tim Soutar and Toks Adeniji for their willingness to stand for election to the Board of England Athletics. Congratulations to Tim on his re-election.
"It was decided to create the member club and organisation elected positions on the Board of England Athletics following the Consultation events England Athletics held in 2013. The first election was held the following year. In addition to the role of National Council representatives, the member organisation elected positions on the England Athletics Board play an important role in the work of England Athletics."
