Allerton Junior Athletics Club very proud of young athlete achievements

Allerton Junior Athletics Club continues to develop athletes at county standard.  Head coach of AJAC Glen Hilton is very proud of his athletes’ achievements especially as the Club has only been in operation for three years.  Glen said “I just love watching athletes enjoy our sport, doing well and developing.”

For their younger members, the club use Athletics 365 to ensure athletes get a good all-round experience of athletics.  Once such athlete is Fin, whose mum asked Glen to get Fin fit and off his PlayStation - so he joined AJAC and the rest is history.

Fin recently celebrated his call up to the North Yorkshire Team for next month's inter-counties Under 17 high Jump competition, in fine style last weekend by winning his second County Schools' High Jump title.

Glen continued, "He has made rapid progress from someone just coming into athletics 13 months ago. Fin has also shown massive promise in sprinting and the shot put; he recently finished 3rd in the Under 15 North Yorkshire Schools' 100m final on debut, and also won the Northern indoor Shot Put and High Jump U15 Championships in February.
