2018 Mountain running team opportunities

2018 Mountain running team opportunities

As well as the Commonwealth Games, England Athletics sends teams to a variety of competitions and also works with other associations in England to provide competitive opportunities for athletes.

We are pleased to announce the selection policies and events for our Mountain Runners - plus opportunities for young athletes to learn more about this discipline at various Training Camps.

The Selection Committee will select the best available teams to represent England, although some teams will be selected as development teams to give them experience of international competition.  Selectors view trials as the primary means of selecting the teams. Where there is no trial or an athlete is unable to compete in the trial race, it is the athlete’s responsibility to provide the Chair of Selectors with details of all performances they wish to be considered at the selection meeting. Please check back on our website at www.englandathletics.org/mountainrunning and on the FRA websites for updates for information yet to be confirmed.  Our web page also includes much more detail about the selection process and the events.
