Regional Coach and Athlete Workshop - Speed 1 (Bristol)

Venue: WISE, New Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, BS34 8LP

Covering 100m to 400m, sprint and long hurdles. 1.5 hour theory session on managing athletes in a training environment then a 1.5 hour practical session - with event specialist to identify key principles to add value and context to your coaching. Part 1 of a 2 part series.

National Hurdles Conference: Developing Optimal Mindset and Technique of a Hurdler

Venue: Aston University Birmingham B4 7ET

A weekend conference for hurdles coaches and including workshops, discussions and practical sessions with top coaches and athletes including England Athletics National Coach and Athlete Development Manage James Hillier, Danish National Sprints and Hurdles coach Mikkel Larsen, Hungarian National Hurdles Coach Istvan Tomhauser, Director of Coaching for Loughborough Students' Athletics Nick Dakin, and elite athlete Rhys Williams.

Movement Skills Workshop: Part 1 - run, jump, throw (Norwich)

Venue: Sprowston Community High School, Cannerby Lane, Norwich, NR7 8NE

Day one of a workshop on how to develop the movement skills which will enable your athletes to move more quickly and efficiently, generate greater force and reduce the risks of injury. This workshop is for coaches working with athletes who are club level through to aspiring to international level.

Regional coach and athlete workshop - Jumps (Lee Valley)

Venue: Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meridian Way, Edmonton, London, N9 0AR

A workshop covering Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump aimed at Coaching Assistant and Athletics Coach level. A theory session on physical preparation and planning followed by a practical session.

Regional coach and athlete workshop - Throws (Lee Valley)

Venue: Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meridian Way, Edmonton, London, N9 0AR

England Athletics will be hosting regional coach and athlete development workshops covering discus, shot, javelin, and hammer. These workshops are aimed at coaches who have completed the Athletics Coach qualification of the old level 2 and above.

National coach and athlete workshop - Jumps (Loughborough)

Venue: Loughborough University, Loughborough LE11 3TU

Coach and athlete jumps workshop covering long jump, triple jump, high Jump and pole vault. The workshop format will be based around theory and practical sessions. These workshops are for event group coaches or (old level 3 and above) and will have theory and practical sessions.

From LiRF to CiRF - going from being a Run Leader to coaching your runners (Sheffield)

Venue: EIS English Institute of Sport, Coleridge Road, Sheffield S9 5DA

The step from being a leader to becoming a coach can be a challenge. This workshop will give detailed information on the differences between the roles and the steps leaders will take as they take a coaching qualification. The workshop is for people who are currently qualified Run Leaders* who are looking to progress to the Coach in Running Fitness Course.

Event Group Coach integration day: Sprints and Hurdles - qualification (Birmingham)

Venue: Athletics House, Alexander Stadium, Walsall Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham. West Midlands B42 2BE

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. Coaches who have completed the Event Group Sprints and Hurdles online course of this qualification should book on to one of these Integration Days.

Venue: Athletics House, Alexander Stadium, Walsall Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham. West Midlands B42 2BE

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. For coaches who have completed the Event Group Throws online course, plus add-on hammer and discus modules and assessment.
