Health and Safety Executive policy templates
Clubs are responsible for the Health and Safety of the activities they deliver. It is therefore important to have a Health and Safety policy and carry out risk assessments. A great first step for all clubs and organisers of athletic activities is to review the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Guidance on Health & Safety for Sport and Leisure activities. The guidance is designed to act as a one-stop-shop for sports clubs and bodies and includes checklists and advice to help those running sports clubs to comply with health and safety law;

The policy should be written down, accepted by the Committee and then communicated to all members in a simple and easy to understand way.
