Weekly30 Run Challenge
SIGN-UP for our new Weekly30 Run Challenge starting 20/21 June – your chance to represent your club and sport plus go head-to-head with runners from across the country in a virtual running competition. You’ll be competing against a nationwide online community of runners – the competition will be fierce and the pride of your club and sport is at stake!
New Coaching Masterclass webinars
England Athletics is hosting two Coaching Masterclass webinars with elite coaches Andy Hobdell (Tuesday 16 June) and Harry Marra (Wednesday 1 July). The masterclass mini-series, which has already featured a webinar with 1988 Olympic Steeplechase medallist turned coach Mark Rowland, will see presentations from the coaches and will also include an opportunity for participants to pose their questions in a live Q&A at the end of each session. The cost of each webinar is £10 per person and you can click here to find out more and register online.
Club Support webinars & forums
Sign-up now to join our next Club Support webinar & Virtual Club Forums. The next Club Support webinar will focus on ‘Competition 2020 – what could this look like?’ (11:00/18:00 Wed 17 Jun). Our next Virtual Club Forums, designed to share information, ideas and best practice, will focus on ‘Training’ (11:00/18:00 Wed 24 Jun) and ‘Club Networking’ (11:00/18:00 Thu 25 Jun).

Weekly Challenge with Jenny Meadows
This week saw the last in our current series of Weekly Challenges with Jenny Meadows – and Jenny finished with a tricky Balance Challenge! You’ll need to surround yourself with six household items (of your choice!) and then it’s time to get on one leg and see if you can reach the items with your other foot. It’s not as easy as it looks… and Jenny also has extra suggestions to make it even more difficult! Make sure you tag us into pics/videos of your efforts on social media. Our Big Quiz is back!! Sign-up now for Round 4 – taking place at 19:00 on Tue 16 Jun. Our popular Virtual Club Night quiz has seen members from clubs across the country go head-to-head to be named Quiz Champion! Register free, spread the word with your club mates and we’ll see you on the night!
Running @ home
We’ve updated our Running @ home section with content suitable for runners of different abilities, including:
- A Virtual Running round-up including an interview with Les Grant, licensed coach, discussing the benefits of the Racefully virtual running app. Leaders/coaches at affiliated clubs can also create a Premium Tribe on the app for free.
- New expert interview with… Paula Radcliffe – who talks about the role her parents played in her success and the important role parents have in helping their children stay active.
- Expert tips on running behaviours and mental health during lockdown, high intensity interval training and ‘What works for you best’.
