Manchester International selection policy
The Manchester International on Wednesday 14 August sees England take on Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland & Ulster and a GB Under 20 team as well as a representive British League invitation team. With athletes from across the UK in action, this International will provide an important competition opportunity for the athletes selected to represent England.
Selection:
England Athletics selection is linked to performance at the England Senior Championships at Manchester the weekend 27-28 July. Event winners will be picked for Manchester International this hopefully gives an added incentive for our best athletes to compete at the Championships (if available) in order to earn that representative honor.
Given the statements above, selections will be made as follows;
- Winner of the England Athletics Senior Championships will be selected.
- Consideration of performance at the England Athletics Senior Championships.
- Power of 10 rankings.
Selection is currently planned for Tuesday 30 July.
