England 10k Walks Champs

This Sunday 11th March sees the England Athletics 10k Walk championships, incorporated into the Molly Barnett Open Road Walks being held in Coventry.

With a team out of the country in Lugano, racing a 20k course for England, and Commonwealth Games athletes now preparing for Australia, the ones to watch are likely to be Junior Men Chris Snook (Club: Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Coach: Verity Snook) and Tom Partington (Club: Manx, Coach: Steve Partington) taking on Luc Legon (Club: Bexley / Cambridge Harriers, Coach: Noel Carmody) and Isle of Man's Gianni Epifani (Club: Manx). In the Women’s race, two Leeds Beckett University-based students, Agata Kowalska and Erika Pontarollo should have a good head to head.

With a programme covering events for Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 athletes as well, it should be a day to suit all ages.
