After a slow start the 2020 season continues to pick up pace with action now coming thick and fast on the track, roads and trails

The past few days have seen the Müller British Championships in Manchester unfold in Manchester.

Mo Farah and Sifan Hassan also set world records for the one-hour run in Brussels and in Poland, Johannes Vetter gave Jan Zelezny’s world javelin record a scare at the Continental Tour Gold meeting.

Elsewhere the action included Track and Field events in Europe; reports from Marseille (France), the popular long-standing Finland v Sweden international match hosted this year by Finland, the Golden Roof Challenge (Innsbruck Austria), plus road races from Milan, Guernsey, and the Irish Life Health Masters Championships (Dublin).

British ultra runner Lee Grantham took victory in the Subida Pico Veleta (Spain) 50km uphill road race and Samantha Amend won the women's Centurion Thames Path 100 mile race from London to Oxford.

Home Track and Field events included London Inter-Club Challenge (Lee Valley), more results from Newquay & Par-organised Get Back to Competition series (Cornwall), report from Herne Hill Harriers track meeting (Tooting Bec).
