CE Electric UK has given the region a massive boost by investing a magnificent £160k over the next five years into the ‘Switched onto Athletics’ programme.
The aim of the programme is to improve performance in every age group in every event. Working in partnership with the YHACC we have developed a plan for implementation which includes the following:

Regional Event Programme for Combined Events and Track & Field Events at the English Institute of Sport.

Develop a Coaching network across the region and the first 60 coaches have been appointed in the first phase.

Flying squad programme for clubs to access to develop technical events within a club setting.

Performance Training Groups identified for talented athletes to access.

Coach development support and continual professional development for all coaches involved in the coaching network.
The YHACC has also re structured its management committee ensuring a forward thinking approach that means it can move forward as part of the Regional Structure and build partnerships within the region.
