First Aid Courses

This course is suitable for all people involved in athletics who wish to acquire basic life support and first aid techniques, and will cover areas such as CPR, unconsciousness, wounds and bleeding. 
 
In order to gain an Emergency Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years, you must attend all the course hours and pass the practical assessment

 

The following courses are planned to take place in November 2007.

Sports First Aid (Athletics) - Emergency First Aid

 

 

CERTIFICATE VALID 

Three Years (Validated by ITC --HSE approved)

 

CLIENT GROUP     

         

 

         Coaches & Officials

 

 

 

ASSESSMENT 

 

         Continuous throughout the day

 COST

 

 

Coaches/Officials = £25.  Subsidised by over 50% by      England Athletics Y & H.  Please send a cheque for £25 made payable to 'England Athletics Ltd. and send with a covering letter to the address below.

 

For non coach/official UKA licence holders the cost will be £60 per person.  

  

 TO BRING  

 

 

Food & drink for the day, pen & pad (Handbook provided to take away), & to wear casual clothes i.e. track suit as it is a practical course.

A practical Course tailored to the needs of the group to an extent.

Duty of care.

Emergency situations

Accident Proceedure

Life Saving Skills including CPR

Dealing with Hard & Soft Tissue Injuries etc.

Interactive Scenarios to encompassing the above.
