Clubmark - Getting Started

Yorkshire & Humberside Region

Gaining Accreditation for CLUBMARK

Clubs applying for Clubmark need to complete an assessment file that demonstrates that their club and programme meets a number of required standards. Some clubs may be in a position to complete the assessment file immediately, others may require more time and support; the regional team is committed to support all clubs who are working towards accreditation.

To gain Clubmark accreditation you will be required to submit an assessment folder. These folders can gained from the regional team who are there to help guide and support you through the process.

An active club Development Plan is part of the Clubmark process and a template Development Plan is included within the programme, but clubs may adapt/create their own plans to suit their needs. Support through this process can be gained through the local development groups and the regional team.

The Sport England Clubmark accreditation scheme are based upon a three-year award system in which a club will be assessed on its ability to provide a safe, effective, child-friendly club environment.

The Award will be indicative of the quality of provision a club offers, and its commitment to the continued development of young athletes. A club will receive certification to confirm accreditation.
