Funding is now available from the West Midlands Region to support the development of clubs who have achieved or can demonstrate significant progress in working towards Clubmark accreditation.
Bids from affiliated clubs can be submitted for up to £2000, which need to demonstrate that they are helping to achieve the Regional aims of "increasing capacity" and "improving performance".
So far over £16,000 has been distributed by the Region to 11 clubs for projects including:
£1500 to Shrewsbury AC to replace existing athletics equipment
£1270 to Leamington ACC to support the use of weight training
£2000 to Tamworth AC for coach education and coach payment to support a club coaching improvement programme
£800 to Nuneaton Harriers to aid scientific monitoring of athlete performances.
