Barcelona 10km Report

The first England men's road running team to travel abroad for three years dominated the Barcelona 10km.  On a warm sunny day and on a course that was undulating for the first 1.5km the men took the first four places without challenge.  England Team Manager, Gerry North said, "It was quite disappointing that there was no opposition for the men, however, it looked great to see the four England vests at the front of the field".

The English women, however faced tougher opposition, albeit from other British athletes.  Tracy Morris and Vicky Gill finished first and second respectively, with exactly the same times and Non Stanford, again competing for Wales split the rest of the English women's team.
