Parent Power

England Athletics believes that you should have access to information about the sport that your children are involved in. People say ‘knowledge is power’ and we want you to be able to access the right information to enable you to know more about what is on offer in athletics and how your child, their club and their coach can get the most from these opportunities. Even understanding what may lie ahead when your child is older can help you in the here and now.

England Athletics believes you should have the opportunity to make your voices heard when we, and other bodies, are making choices that will affect your children. Knowing what you want can help us to make better decisions and also enable us to apply appropriate pressure to other organisations who make choices that may affect your child.

It’s not just for parents

You don’t have to be a parent to sign up to Parent Power – we also welcome anyone else who has a concern for ensuring youngsters in athletics are given the best opportunities possible for enjoyment, health, success and well being.

Thank you for your support of athletics, for the support you give your children and we look forward to working together to grow the next generation of athletics champions and ensure you and your children get as much enjoyment from the sport as possible.

We also know that there are times where you will want to get involved – you may want to attend a clubs workshop that offers advice on how clubs can operate more effectively, or your may want to get involved in coaching or officiating.
