This sector is the biggest in our sport. It is important that road running is supported and developed in the region. The south west team and Council recognise the value and diversity in road running and have had an established development group for over 12 months. Representatives from each county attend regular meetings to discuss developing this area of our sport.

 

The SW Road Running co-ordinator is Paul Ross.

Road Running Fund

Applications are now welcome for the national and regional road running fund. For more information and an application form go to: http://www.englandathletics.org/road-running/

Endurance Officials Log

Any aspiring Road Running Endurance Official needs to be completing the form in the attachment below as they acquire experience of assisting at events. This needs to be done before attending the mandatory endurance course (after 6 months minimum) which is currently being arranged for delivery nationwide.  Click here for further details of the Endurance Officials course.

Road Running Leadership Group Meeting

An update meeting of the Road Running Leadership Group was held at Exeter  on Wednesday 23rd January 2008 41 people attended the meeting which was presented by Mike Summers.
