Role of England Athletics South East Region
The South East Council working with the England Athletics professional staff are responsible for virtually all aspects of athletics across the region with a particular emphasis on developing the capacity of the sport, so as to improve performance in every event at every age group. Pursuit of this aim is guided by a Regional Strategic Plan which has an associated regional budget. The link with Counties and Clubs is through the elected members of the Council and the Sub Regional Management Groups. The link with local authorities within the region is through an Athletic Development Officer in each County.
