An AAA Tom Pink Event was held at Sportcity, Manchester and all children attending had the chance to take part in the British Athletics Sportshall Pentathlon Awards and the British Athletics Endurance Awards as well as some exciting track relays.

England Athletics South West Development Coach of the year Kevin Skinner has added another accolade to his coaching portfolio. Kevin has recently been named Astley Media Senior Coach of the Year at the Devon Sports Awards.

High standards at Great School Sprint Birmingham

The Great School Sprint Birmingham took place at the Great Barr School in Birmingham. Over 100 children took part from seven secondary Schools. The final will take place at the BT Great City Games in Manchester which will also include the first ever Great School Para Sprint competition.

£150million funding boost for Primary Schools

Schools will receive a funding boost of £150 million per annum for the academic years 2013/14 and 2014/2015. The money will go directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
