Endurance workshop: planning the athletic year - 12th October

As part of England Athletics programme the Endurance Performance And Coaching Centre (EPACC) at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham, would like to invite coaches and athletes to a workshop from  that will be based on planning the athletic year.

South Coaching Conference – Closing Date Approaching

If you are a Coaching Assistant, Athletics Coach or Coaching in Running Fitness coach why not book onto the South Coaching Conference?  With bookings set to close on Friday 19 September for the South Coaching Conference, coaches are urged to secure their places.

Hackney summer program a great success!

The Hackney Athletics summer program was a resounding success, it engaged with over 100 young people over a 3 week period giving them taster sessions and the opportunity to participate in athletics at the new compact athletics facility at stoke Newington school.

300m & 400m Hurdles Training Days

Winter training sessions will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. For all one-lap hurdlers under the guidance of Lloyd Cowan, Brian Hopkins and various guest coaches. All athletes from any region, whether experienced or new to the event are welcome to attend.

SEAOA (Southern Officials') Conference

The SEAOA (Southern Officials') Conference will take place.  Following a vote at the February 2014 conference it was decided to hold the conference in the Autumn instead, hence two in 2014.

Plyometrics for Road Runners

To get the most from the training ‘miles’ runners adding Physical Preparation to their training often perform better and are more robust. Elastic strength developed through Plyometrics increases the runners force per stride and coordination and therefore speed.
