Essential information from England Athletics
England Athletics are pleased to announce the launch of a new online tool to support Race Organisers in the planning of events. This is part of our work to support the provision of road running, particularly by our clubs, as we are very aware of challenges faced by event organisers. (This year we also introduced a £25 flat licence fee for events organised by clubs.) You have an opportunity to ensure the people you believe have made a difference to our sport are given the recognition they deserve by nominating them for the England Athletics Volunteer Awards or Hall of Fame. We have named Peter Stanley as the new Head of Coaching and Development and report that two of our courses - Leadership in Running Fitness and AthleFIT - have been approved by the Register of Exercise Professionals which will ultimately help more people become involved in athletics. We continue to offer opportunities for our Under 11 athletes get the most from the sport with their own registration scheme. And how is your club faring after London 2012? Help provide this critical information on the landscape of the sport by filling out the biennial Sports and Recreation Alliance Club survey.
