We work with the County Officials' Secretaries (COfSecs) to support our existing officials whilst also looking to encourage new officials into the sport. We recognise that officials are essential for both our athletes and sport to continue to develop, with this in mind we are currently planning official’s education courses, mentoring and other ways of supporting the backbone of the competitive sport. You can find more information on officials on our national page, and and about the Northern Athletics Officials' Association by clicking here.
Duty Sheets, Reports and Upgrading
Level 1 and 2 Club and County officials should send their Record of Experience ("Duty Sheet") to their COfSec. Level 2 Region should send to Moira Gallagher at gallagherm@supanet.com. It is far easier filling this in as an ongoing exercise as the year progresses rather than leaving it until the end. The form can be downloaded on the national officials' page.
Officials' reports for upgrading of Level 3 and upwards should be sent to Paul Yates at paulwilliamyates@hotmail.com. who will collate the reports for review by the Tri-Regions group which will consider upgradings and nominations for national meetings. The Y&H representatives appointed by the Regional council to the Tri-Regional group are:
- Field: Malcolm Rogers
- Track: Moira Gallagher
- Timekeeping: Roger Everton
- Starter/Marksman: Peter Lord
