Regional Council

The regional council co-ordinates the interests and activities of the voluntary sector within athletics in order to develop all disciplines of the sport. They represent the interests of the voluntary sector and provide leadership whilst co-ordinating interaction between volunteer and professional groups to further the sport within the region.

Local athletics development groups

We now have established an excellent total of 21 local athletics development groups across the region who’s members include clubs, schools, facility management, CSP’s and local authorities. These groups are of great importance to England Athletics as we want to devolve as much resources to these groups so they can co-ordinate and drive athletics forward at a local level. We are now in the process of formalising of our groups and developing local priorities our next step will to engage with Road Running and Fell clubs to ensure they are included in local delivery.

Humberside
The Humberside area comprises of three athletics developments groups (Hull & East Riding, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire) which lead into the Humberside Athletics Management Group. More contacts for the area are available on the County Contacts page.
