Athletics 365 Jump for joy Schools Athletics - building a Physical Education Legacy England Athletics are organising athletics conferences for the school sport fraternity. They will provide practical information on delivering athletics for schools – both within the curriculum and out of hours.  This update is about the speakers and what is on offer.

The final version of the Athletics Cross Curricular Resource, that was developed in partnership between England Athletics and UKA, and can be used to enhance the delivery of athletics in schools is now available online.

England Athletics are pleased to announce the launch of two new resources designed to help clubs and coaches with planning a youth development programme.

Junior athletes from KAAC, South Lakes schools and Barrow competed against teams from all over the North West at the Sportshall Finals held at Sportcity. The team was created through a local Sportshall athletics event last year where 7 primary schools competed.

 

Katarina Johnson-Thompson small Records fall in Birmingham as Johnson-Thompson adds to gold medal tally
Katarina Johnson-Thompson added two gold medals to take her tally of national indoor titles to 13, including a World Junior qualifying mark in the high jump, while records fell on the track at the Aviva England Age Group Indoor Champs. You can also watch the action on EATV.

The NAS Merryfield Airbase at Ilton in Somerset hosted another set of impressive performances at this year’s Aviva English Schools' Cross Country Championships. Reports and pictures.

 

Sophie Kamlish First GB International Athlete identified through P2P
Sophie Kamlish, a single leg amputee coached by Rob Ellchuk, has been selected for the 100m and 200m at the Paralympic World Cup. The 15-year-old is the first track and field athlete identified through Playground to Podium (P2P) to earn a GB vest.
