Regional Council
England Athletics has nine Regional Councils. Each has responsibility for representing the volunteer interests of the sport, supporting the staff in their area and giving input into investment. The council is also working towards developing strong links with key partners such as County Athletics Development Groups, Sport England, Private Sector Business and other agencies.

Stewart has been involved in athletics for fifty years, as an athlete, administrator and Technical Official (Track Judge).During his competitive days he ran for Coventry Godiva Harriers competing at a decent level representing Warwickshire on a number of occasions. Since the end of his competitive life Stewart has become a Level 3 Track Judge (ICOG) officiating at many major meetings throughout the country. He has been Hon. Treasurer of Warwickshire County AA and is a current Joint Hon. Treasurer of the Midland Counties AA. A retired police officer and Chief Security Officer.

Pete has been involved with athletics for nearly 25 years and is a level 3 timekeeper and a level 3 photo-finish official. He is a member of Telford Athletics Club and on the committee of the Club as the newsletter editor. He is also the club’s representative on the Shropshire AA where he was for 6 years the County Sportshall Championship secretary. From the Shropshire AA he is the County Rep for the Midland Counties Association. He is involved in all levels of the sport from U11s to Internationals and all aspects from track and field to road running and cross country.

Member of Sparkhill Harries for 50 years, President in their Centenary Year (2001) and now a Life Member. Electrical & Mechanical Engineer by Trade but spent 33 years as a Police Officer. He has been President of the following, Birmingham Cross Country League, Warwickshire County, Midland Counties, England Cross Country. Technical delegate for European Police Athletics, member of the European Cross Country Commission and Technical Delegate. He is IAAF Road & Cross Country Official (ICRO). Secretary of the Midland and England Cross Country Officials, and a member of the West Midland Region Council since its inception.

Co-opted Member for six years, now elected. Chairman Road Race Licensing Panel, Endurance Official, and IOG Timekeeper. Formerly Chairman Leamington C&AC and Warwickshire but still competitive road runner and racing cyclist. In his finer hours a AAA representative sprinter, always trailing Robbie Brightwell. Whilst managing major overseas telecoms projects and companies he represented Taiwan, and Zimbabwe, in international rugby "friendlies".

John is a member of Stafford Harriers Running Club and has been running endurance events for over thirty years. He has been the Chair of the Staffordshire Athletics Network since its inception in 2009. Professionally he was a practicing town and regional planner until retirement in 2005. He is married with a daughter, son and three granddaughters.
