How England Athletics works with schools
England Athletics have been busy this summer with competition partners QuadKids, Sportshall and Schools Super8. Numbers of children participating have far exceeded projections and continue to rise. This year has also seen the growth of our McCain Athletics Networks which are clusters of clubs, schools, CSPS, SSPs and local authorities all working together to share resources and best practice. England Athletics is responsible for the delivery of Teacher Education courses across England. The Elevating Athletics resource has been distributed free of charge to every state school in the country and there is an opportunity for one qualified PE teacher per school to attend a course on teaching athletics free of charge thanks to the Aviva Elevating Athletics Fund.
