1st National Officials' Forum

The first England National Officials' Forum was held on 3rd October following some months of preparation by England Athletics and UKA.  Although England Athletics has led the planning behind the notion of an England Officials' Forum, it will take a partnership effort to make this work and the forum effective.

A broad spectrum of people involved with all aspects of officiating were invited to share ideas on how we can improve the ongoing support to officials across the country, particularly in improving communication at all levels. 



Outcomes

There were updates from both UKA and England Athletics, followed by a number of breakout discussion sessions - one set to put questions to the panel (see Q&A on the right) and the other following 3 themes for discussion: Shaping the Forum, Officials Support (conferences / mentoring), and Communication mechanisms (see Breakout Feedback on the right).  The atmosphere was positive and you can read view some of the presentaions and outcomes in the downloads to the right.
