Courses in Teaching Athletics
These courses are aimed at qualified and trainee teachers and those supporting the management and delivery of high quality sport and physical education in schools. They aim to impart the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to deliver enjoyable and engaging lessons that encourage maximum participation and increase the understanding, skills, fitness and enjoyment of children.
The courses are based on the Elevating Athletics teaching resource. They last six hours, including both practical and theory, and demonstrate progression across age groups in generic and athletic-specific running, jumping and throwing activities. Two courses are available:
- Teaching Primary Athletics
- Teaching Secondary Athletics
Courses cost £70 per participant and those attending have the option to purchase the Elevating Athletics resource pack or register as a member of the UKA Academy. The booking form is part of the flyer that you can download (see right side of this page) so if you want to book, just complete the form and send to the EA Head Office.
