Road Running in England – A New Era

A highly successful meeting took place today between representatives from England Athletics Ltd. and the English Road Running Association to consider how we may best work as one body to the benefit of the road running community and to address current concerns at the “grassroots” of road running in England.

Commenting on the meeting, Mike Neighbour, Chairman of the ERRA said “Now that the governance of the sport is settled, the ERRA want to see a stronger and more vibrant development of road running within England. To that end, we are looking forward to enhancing our activity within England Athletics”.

John Graves, Chairman of England Athletics said “The ERRA understands the issues of the road running fraternity in England. Their knowledge and understanding of the sport will be invaluable in the support and development of road running. I welcome the change in direction which this new relationship and spirit of co-operation will bring to the popular sport of road running”.

Anyone that wishes to contribute to this debate should contact their regional team at England Athletics who will welcome their views.
