We have some outstanding Pole Vaulters from our region but we just don't have the numbers coming through and therefore Pole Vault doesn't always get the recognition it deserves. Whether from lack of indoor facilities, club coaches in the event or athletes wanting to give it a try, we need to come together and get thois event off the ground by creating good training opportunities and supporting new coaches and athletes coming into the event.
The first step is to get the environment right. We will host a series of sessions in an environment perfectly suited to the demands of this event, over the winter months, at Sportcity, Manchester. The next step is for you to bring yourself and your athlete(s) together to work alongside other like minded coaches and athletes in this very technical event. Once we have a strong event development squad we can then help to ensure new coaches are able to deliver sessions at their club, existing athletes have the opportunity to do technical sessions during the winter and, in turn, help the Pole Vault event get stronger and stronger year on year!
