England Athletics Staff and Regional Council Members, in consultation with North West clubs, have produced the NW Strategic Athletics Plan to focus our efforts up to 2012. The plan focuses on 6 key areas, in line with the National England Athletics strategic plan:
To build on the strengths of coaches, officials and volunteers to meet the needs of athletes
To support and develop an effective network of clubs, coaching groups, facilities and events
To develop effective links with key partners
To improve performance and nurture talent in every event and in every age group
To provide effective communication channels and inform and involve everyone in the sport
To promote a positive image of athletics.
