A charity evening is being organised by Birchfield Harriers to raise money for the McCook Fund, which aims to support junior athletes from under-privileged backgrounds. The fundraising event will be held in Birmingham on 4th March from 7pm to midnight and features a live music with a Ceilidh band. Tickets are £20.

The West Midlands Region 2017 London Mini Marathon Trials will take place on 18th February, at the Stourport Cycleway. These trials are for selection into the West Midlands team for the London Mini Marathon which takes place on 23rd April 2017.

We are sad to announce the passing of 82-year-old club and officiating stalwart Betty Downs this week. Betty had been a member of Birchfield Harriers for over 50 years. She went on to become a coach at Birchfield, coaching youngsters. She qualified as an official, a track judge, and was at the top international level for many years.
A 5k race and 3k fun run is being held on Sunday September 11th at Sandwell Valley to raise money for a charity and victim support set up in memory of three members of the same Sandwell Family who were killed in the Tunisian terrorist attack.
