Regional Club Conference Series Continues

The first four of England Athletics' eleven 2014 Regional Club Conferences have now taken place at Doncaster, Exeter, London and Harrogate. Over the past 10 days, representatives from clubs across Yorkshire and Humberside, the South West and London took the opportunity to meet to express their views.

Regional Club Conference Series Underway

The first two of England Athletics' eleven 2014 Regional Club Conferences have now taken place at Doncaster and Exeter. On Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th March, representatives from clubs across South Yorkshire and the South West took the opportunity to meet to express their views on matters ranging from affiliation and registration, EA's future priorities, the links between participation and clubs and the competition pathway.

West Midlands Team for the London Mini Marathon announced

The members of the West MidlandsTeam for the London Mini Marathon have now been selected and are published here. The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon is the official British Athletics three mile road championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17 and takes place on 13th April 2014.

Regional Club Conference series to start soon

The first England Athletics Regional Club Conference of 2014 takes place at the Keepmoat Stadiumin Doncasteron Monday 24th Marchand will be the first of a series of events that will offer representatives of clubs from across the country the opportunity to meet and discuss the biggest issues and challenges that they face.

Kidderminster and Stourport AC receive Clubmark Award

England Athletics are pleased to report that Kidderminster and Stourport AC have received their Clubmark Award. Achieving England Athletics 'Accredited Club' status ensures the club is nationally recognized as providing an 'active, accessible and accredited' club environment.

Time to Listen - a course for Club Welfare Officers: 24th March

An Athletics-specific safeguarding training workshop will be held on 24th March at Birchfield Harriers Clubroom. It is targeted specifically at volunteers in a club welfare role. It builds on basic awareness and focuses on implementation in the club environment.

Time to Listen workshop: places available on 26th February

A Time to Listen course for Club or Running Group Welfare Officers will be taking place at Skelmersdale, near Wigan on Wednesday 26th February 2014 frim 6pm to 9pm. This workshop is FREE as part of the Club Support programme, open to all welfare officers. There are a limited number pf places still available.
