Over £2 million committed to London 2017 Inspiration Programme

London 2017 Ltd has today announced how the Inspiration Programme will have a lasting impact on sport and community. 'Team Personal Best' will inspire a programme of local community activities designed to get people who are encouraged by London's role as host to become involved in grassroots athletics. Investment will be in five key areas - disability, volunteering, schools, community and international - with the aim of removing barriers and growing capacity for increased interest.

London's biggest 10km running event, the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, is returning on Sunday 5th February 2017 for its third consecutive year. Kingston Athletics Club and Polytechnic Harriers, a South West London Athletics club were presented with their Clubmark on Tuesday 30th August at their track at Kingsmeadow stadium in Kingston-upon-Thames..
