Get more people involved in officiating in your club or local area!

Would your club or group really benefit from involving more officials, or do you know a club in your area that would? Are you unsure where to start to get more people involved? If so putting on an Officials Taster Session, could be a great way of raising awareness of the opportunities available and highlight what a positive experience officiating is!

Burton Athletics Club recently hosted an Officials Taster Session at the club to encourage more parents to get involved. They used the free resources available on our website from Team Personal Best to help them with the day, and following the taster session, hosted a Level 1 Field Course at the club to allow those interested to continue their officiating journey.

How your club could benefit from Club Run - like Headington Road Runners!

Headington Road Runners are one of the clubs who have been taking advantage of England Athletics' Club Run programme. Club Run is our free initiative specifically aimed at supporting road running clubs, offering a free series of practical coaching sessions led by coaches linked to the England Athletics coach development programmes with experience in off-track running. Teams all set for the Manchester International

Teams from across the home countries, the GBNI Under 20 team, Denmark, and the British Olympic winning 4x100m relay team from 2004 who are competing toraise funds for the 'We Love Manchester Emergency Fund', are all set for the Manchester International. The event provides a great opportunity to see athletes from across the home countries in action and as part of the fundraising 4x100m relay, Manchester's former world boxing champions Anthony Crolla and Scott Quigg will be lining up as part of one of the teams.
