England Athletics 2017 Consultation

Throughout the course of the year, England Athletics will hold consultation meetings around the country. So that we can tailor the consultation sessions, we have developed a series of questions so that we can better understand the views of registered athletes, representatives of member clubs, volunteers and everyone who cares about the future of the sport.

Club Run - supporting clubs and their runners to achieve more

The England Athletics clubrun programme supports club runners, coaches and leaders and through a series of practical sessions delivered at your club on your club night. The sessions aim to support clubs and their runners to achieve more through their love of running. The closing deadline for applications is midnight 7th May, 2017

Volunteering Innovation Day a great success

Having secured funding from Spirit of 2012 to invest in developing and supporting our volunteers, an Innovation Day in Birmingham was arranged to plan the best approach for the development of a Volunteer Co-ordinator, and to discuss the wider challenges of involving volunteers in athletics and running.

Get more from the sport with coaching

Becoming a coach is a great way of enjoying athletics. Whether you are an athlete looking for a new dimension to your role in the sport, a parent wanting to get more involved or have been inspired by seeing how other people have made a difference to people's lives coaching has plenty to offer. Remember, if you are part of a club you/ your club can also access discounts on qualifications and we have courses coming up you can get involved in.

Athletics and Running Club Welfare Officer Training

England Athletics would like to remind clubs about the training that is provided for Club Welfare Officers. This and other resources available from England Athletics helps clubs deliver an environment where everyone involved in athletics feels safe and secure to enable them to achieve their potential - to run, jump and throw, to coach, officiate or to support those who do.
