England team selected for Mountain Running Home International
The 14th Mountain Running Senior Home International 2025 will be incorporated into the British Athletics World Mountain and Trail Running Championships Trial (Up and Down).
This year (17 August) it’s being held in the picturesque setting of Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District. The race is 14km up and down and takes place over two laps of the forest; it will be a fast but very tough challenge for all the athletes, and as usual we are expecting some fantastic racing in both men’s and women’s events.
Since it is also a trial for the Great Britain team, it will include the very best mountain runners from the UK. So we’ve selected strong teams including Sara Willhoit, Eve Pannone, Nichola Jackson, Fin Grant and Matt Knowles who have all represented Great Britain at recent World and European Championships. England have been very successful in the past - having had 12 Individual winners, on top of that the women have won the team title 11 times and the men have won the team title 10 times.
