Lorraine Barlow has been awarded Volunteer of the Year at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards. The ceremony included winners in the categories of Volunteer, Coach, Sports Achiever, Disabled Sports Achiever, Club of the Year and Unsung Hero: Special Recognition Award.

The talents and dedication of athletes, sports teams, coaches and sport volunteers in Cumbria were celebrated at the annual Cumbria Sports Awards. Organised by Cumbria Sport Partnership, the awards recognise the outstanding talents, commitment and successes of teams and individuals throughout Cumbria who are involved in sport.

23.Nov.10 Endurance coaches benefit from Strength and Conditioning event
On Saturday 20th November over 40 endurance coaches attended a strength and conditioning workshop as part of the Local Coach Development Programme. The programme was led by Ruddy Farquaharson, Phil Graham-Smith, Duncan Mason and Hannah Jarvis, all of whom are experts in their field and have many years of experience working with athletics.

27.Oct.10 Cheshire coaches and athletes pass on their skills
On the 9th October 2010, Cheshire Athletics Network hosted another successful event; a Coach and Athlete Development Day. The day was to help coaches and athletes to develop to open their minds to non-traditional athletics events such as aqua-jogging, pilates and gymnastics.
