Following the legacy of the Paralympics, an IPC Permit meeting in Wigan will be one of the first to be a fully inclusive event. However, more Technical Officials are desperately needed! So if you are a licensed official and you'd like to either improve your skills at a disability event or perhaps experience it for the first time, why not come along and enjoy some northern hospitality?

01.Feb.13 Disability Inclusion Training pilot event adds value to coaching repertoire
The first Disability Inclusion Training pilot took place over the weekend at Sport City Manchester in conjunction with Greater Sport who kindly provided funding. Paul Moseley and Pete Moore were on hand to tutor the course and put the attendees through their paces.

30.Jan.13 Introduction to Ambulant Sprints and Jumps: 9th February
On 9th February an introductory workshop will provide coaches with an understanding of the classifications for ambulant running and jumping along with the relevant basic technical model for each. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

07.Jan.13 Learn to coach leg amputee runners: 13th January
The next in the series of Learn to Run workshops will be taking place in the North West on 13th January. There will be practical and theory workshops for both coaches and leg amputees.

21.Dec.12 English Dwarf athlete wins Greater Sport Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year
Record breaking shot and discus thrower Sean Clare has won the Greater Sport Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year. Sean is an F40 (dwarf) athlete who has made some remarkable achievements in 2012. But it has been a year of joys and disappointments for the young man.

20.Dec.12 Talent Introduction day a great success
On 28th October the North Talent ID day began with small dusting of snow, cold air and an early start. The day was planned to help coaches and athletes understand the different ways to train and encourage them to push the boundaries of their own abilities.
