The Local Coach Development Programme in the North West is organising a practical ‘running drills’ session which you can either observe or join in followed by an interview with Helen Clitheroe and an opportunity for you to ask questions about Helen’s training and her experience as an Olympian.

In an effort to encourage more coaches to attend the LCDP workshops being delivered at a county and regional level across the North, the CCSO team have developed a short survey to help shape the programme for 2013/2014.

The North West region will run a sprint relays workshop on Sunday 21st April from 1-4pm at Sportcity, Manchester. Graham Pilkington, National Coach Development Programme Mentee will lead the session.

18.Mar.13 David Hemery facilitates Athletics Network session
Dr David Hemery CBE (Olympic Gold Medallist and former 400m Hurdles World Record Holder) spent the evening at Longford Park Stadium on 12th March facilitating the M60 Athletics Network Mentoring/ Coaching Workshop.

04.Mar.13 West Cheshire AC wins local Club of the Year Award
West Cheshire AC was one of four clubs that had been short-listed for the Club of the Year Award at the Cheshire West and Chester Sports Awards Ceremony held on Friday at the Winsford Lifestyle Centre. Dennis Wall was a very proud chairman when to his surprise and delight West Cheshire AC won!

01.Feb.13 Disability Inclusion Training pilot event adds value to coaching repertoire
The first Disability Inclusion Training pilot took place over the weekend at Sport City Manchester in conjunction with Greater Sport who kindly provided funding. Paul Moseley and Pete Moore were on hand to tutor the course and put the attendees through their paces.
