The Leicestershire Vision 2020 Athletics Network are working with the Secondary Schools' Cross Country Association to help keep more of our year 7 athletes, that have taken part in races throughout their time at primary school up to year 6, in the sport and through their time at secondary school.

12.Sep.12 Great Birmingham Run will incorporate Midlands Club Challenge
The 2012 BUPA Great Birmingham Run will incorporate a Midlands Club Challenge for a second year after the inaugural challenge in 2011 which saw BRAT Club (Birmingham Running & Triathlon Club) come out on top and claim the bragging rights as the strongest half marathon club in the Midlands.

As part of the series of 600 Community Athletics Days organised by clubs across England Amber Valley & Erewash AC held a series of Try Athletics events on Wednesday evenings which gave opportunities for those aged eight to 15 to come along and give athletics a go.

21.Aug.12 Northwood hurdles academy dates for your diary
Now in its 20th year, the Northwood Hurdles Academy caters for sprints and long hurdlers in the U15-U20 age groups, offering hands-on coach development under the guidance of Chief Coach, Ted Grey. Dates for the 2012-2013 are now confirmed.
