The rain held off and the Robins opened up their doors on Saturday 21st April to give their local community the chance to try some athletics. The club made full use of the weather and had activities taking place both inside and out to give people the chance to try lots of different events.

Working alongside the Northamptonshire Athletic Network two representatives from each Network club were invited to attend a Whole Club Planning Workshop delivered by Nigel Moore.

11.Apr.12 Kettering AC gearing up for Olympics
Kettering Town Harriers AC are hosting a 'Try Athletics Day' to give their community the opportunity to try some Athletics and celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In conjunction with this, local fundraiser and vice chair of the Northampton Athletics Network is walking for 20 hours and 12 minutes around the track.

05.Apr.12 82-year-old timekeeper crosses Olympic stadium finishing line
82-year-old timekeeper and athletics stalwart Jack Walters was lucky enough to win a trip to the Olympic stadium with his son and grandson last weekend. Jack was one of 5000 people who ran in the National Lottery Olympic 5 mile run, the first public event to be held at the brand new Olympic stadium.

02.Apr.12 Blackwell and District Young Striders Athletics Club (BADYS) Clubmark accredited
Established in 2005, the Blackwell and District Young Striders Athletics Club (BADYS) has been Clubmark accredited. The club has over 40 members and is recognised as a leading Junior Athletic Club in the East Midlands, competing both locally and nationally.
